Raspberry House

RESIDENTIAL, CONVERSION, COMPLETED

Think pink! Refurbishment can also look different: The Raspberry House - small, affordable, central. The raspberry red stands out next to the red brick and muted plaster buildings.

Multiple awards and nominations.

Many would like to live here, where life takes place on the street and Münster develops a bit of a big city character. However, living space in the densely built-up and urban harbor workers' quarter is very limited. In addition to the low-rise construction, this is also due to the sometimes large apartment layouts.
The idea of renovating the 1950s building with commercial premises on the ground floor was very simple from the outset. The goal - to add a building block to the structure, diversity and colorful coexistence in the neighborhood - was immediately clear.
The 6 existing apartments were redivided and both the roof and the basement were activated: 15 apartments with large windows facing east-west, commercial space on the ground floor.

The bright red Raspberry façade was the most elaborate.
In addition to the red brick and the muted colors of the plaster buildings, the raspberry red stands out. This gives the former working-class district a new building block that shines from within and clearly acknowledges its own family and origins.
A message for all owners of 50s houses: a renovation can also look completely different.
