The new laboratory building with animal housing for around 13,000 mice is located in the middle of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität science campus on the western edge of the dermatology clinic. The building houses storage rooms as well as S1 and S2 laboratories.

The closed façade consists largely of brick facing masonry.

KRESINGS have already realized various research and institute buildings on the science campus of the University of Münster: The SoN - Center for Soft Nanoscience, the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine, the CeNTech II - Center of Nanotechnology and the animal barn in the Center for Molecular Biology of Inflammation, which belongs to the Faculty of Medicine.
