The Adorno-Gymnasium is both an open school and a learning workshop. Several parts of the building form a coherent ensemble. The result is a building in which the grammar school, elementary school and sports area remain clearly identifiable and independent.

The pedagogical idea of the grammar school is based on a “ladder to heaven” that interweaves learning areas, break and multifunctional areas across all floors.
