St Lucia Kindergarten

EDUCATION, NURSERY, COMPLETED, NEW BUILDING

Star-shaped new daycare center building with room-related color concept

The site of the St. Lucia daycare center is situated like an island in the middle of a purely residential area. An elongated roof forms the entrance area and leads to the main part of the daycare center, consisting of five building sections, which stand out from each other due to their differently pitched roof shapes. Their star-shaped orientation gives each of the buildings a high degree of independence. Large areas of glazing allow a view of the landscape and create bright, open spaces and a lively atmosphere. The spatial color concept also underlines the independence and the different functions of the buildings and radiates outwards in a multifaceted way.

The centrally located community and movement room connects the five soloists. With its nooks and crannies and small retreats, it creates a playful stage for its young residents, who can let their imaginations run wild.
