Hotel Grimm in the Media harbour
Design for a hotel in Düsseldorf's Media Harbor
The building is designed as a modern hybrid, offering and linking both public and private areas and spaces. The main uses - hotel and office - each have their own entrances with separate driveways. The boarding house on the upper floors complements the hotel's offering.
In addition to the areas in the base, the hotel also uses the roof of the two towers as a garden, sky bar and restaurant. The first floor opens up on all sides and is enlivened by the restaurant/café in the south-west and the local retailer in the north-east. Functions such as access to the underground car park, hotel deliveries and retail outlets are also fully integrated and part of the architectural concept.
