Heidelberg Convention Centre

COMPETITION, EVENT, NEW BUILDING

The Heidelberg Convention Center was designed as an innovative hybrid building made of wood and concrete.

The design of the Heidelberg Convention Center, as a modern source of inspiration in the new Bahnstadt district, shows an innovative hybrid building made of wood and concrete. The simple shape of the base echoes the urban edges and leads visitors into the building via the public space. The two halls and the five-storey conference tower stand as independent bodies within the volume, creating visual and urban accents.
