On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Day of Architecture will open doors, gates - and ways of thinking - for the 30th time: In 50 locations in Lower Saxony and Bremen, 99 architectural projects invite you to discover, inquire, be inspired and discuss. In this anniversary year, the focus is on building on existing buildings - more converted and renovated buildings are represented than ever before.

“What began in 1996 with 43 buildings is now the largest high-profile event in our profession,” explains Robert Marlow, President of the Lower Saxony Chamber of Architects. “Especially in times of climate crisis and scarcity of resources, the Day of Architecture also shows how building culture shapes the future with responsibility, creativity and dialog.”

For the first time, the number of existing conversions will outweigh new buildings in 2025. Living examples of how clever planning and creative ideas can create new spaces without having to build new ones.

On Sunday mornings at 10.15 am, 11 am and 11.45 am, Kilian Kresing, Prof. Felix Osterheider and Manfred Hülsmann from the Coppenrath Foundation will also be giving tours of our CIC - Coppenrath Innovation Center, answering questions and providing insights into design processes and design decisions.
